About me

Hi there! I’m Sarah Whitfield, a 34-year-old homemaker from a charming little town in New England, where life moves at a gentle pace, and I get to experience the beauty of every season right from my backyard. I have started my blog, “Blossom and nest”, as a way to share my love for gardening, homemaking, cooking, and parenting. It’s been an incredible journey connecting with women across America who, like me, want to create a warm and nurturing environment for their families.

Gardening has always been a big part of my life, thanks to my grandmother, who taught me everything I know. On the blog, I love sharing seasonal planting tips, companion gardening techniques, and simple organic practices that anyone can try, whether they have a tiny balcony or a sprawling backyard. I believe gardening should be sustainable and in harmony with nature, and I know a lot of my readers feel the same way.

When it comes to homemaking, I’m all about making life easier and more beautiful without breaking the bank. I offer organizing tips, DIY décor projects, and clever cleaning hacks that keep my home functional yet cozy. My goal is to help others create a space that feels inviting and lived-in without the stress.

In the kitchen, I’m all about wholesome, family-friendly meals. I share recipes for everything from comforting casseroles to fresh, healthy lunchbox ideas for the kids. I absolutely love cooking with seasonal produce, especially when it comes from my own garden. I like to keep things simple, nutritious, and of course, delicious!

Parenting is the heart of my world. Whether it’s fun craft ideas, advice on managing busy family routines, or just sharing the joys (and struggles) of motherhood, I’m always looking to offer a supportive voice. I’ve built “Blossom and nest” as a space where women can come together, simplify their lives, and find joy in the everyday.
